Sara Lapsley's vancouver nights have already garnered themselves international acclaim with the release of their debut self-titled album on the japanese quattro label (b'ehl, ladybug transistor, of montreal). Originally known for her time as the lead singer/songwriter in the ric girl band kreviss (who had a single on scratch, a split 7" with mecco normal on sub pop and a compilation appearance on kill rock stars), sara completed two years of classical study at capilano co lege in vancouver. The result ...complex, mature, joyous compositions, delivered with glossy, vintage vocals.
