Aboriginal Voices Radio (AVR) was created to raise awareness for our talented Indigenous musicians. AVR operates CFIE 106.5 FM in Toronto, Canada, and will soon be broadcasting in major urban centres across Canada.
AVR's Aboriginal Talent Office (ATO) focuses on the development, promotion and advancement of Aboriginal music talent in Canada, through funding provided by Standard Radio Inc.
AVR, Standard Radio and MapleMusic Recordings have partnered to present the best of emerging Aboriginal music in Canada with the creating of The Red Album. This is a compilation of young, innovative and dynamic Inuit, Métis and First Nations musicians and includes genres ranging from Pop to Blues, Hip-Hop, Rock and Traditional.
