Following one year at the Ontario College Of Art, Nick went to London, England.He returned to Canada in 1990 and began a career in comic books as a writer/illustrator for The Cheeseheads.
Film maker Bruce McDonald was impressed with Nick's imagination and commisioned an illustrated adaptionof his film,'Dance Me Outside'. Two years later Brucereturned for another adaptation, this time for 'Hard Core Logo', a work acclaimed by both critics and illustrators.
Craine also founded the band 'Black Cabbage' in 1993.In their six years together they amassed a following as one of Ontario'smost entertaining live acts.
