Together since August '99, Montreal's The Frenetics have been hitting clubs, halls and bars across North America with their mix of 70's British punk and 90's American indie rock. They have shared the stage with such acts as The Delta 72, The Unband, Les Sexareenos, Choke, Caffeine, The Datsons, The Undercovers, Les Sequelles, The Smalls, More Plastic, and many others. Their current line-up includes Malcolm Bauld (guitar/voice), Philippe Tremblay (bass) and Anne Gauthier (drums).
The Frenetics were approached by local label Grenadine Records after their first show at Cafe Chaos, in Montreal. This resulted in Scenery E.P., which featured the bands' capacity for urgent British pop ("Jet Black Heart"/"Easy Way Out"), anthemic rockabilly ("Shortest String") and driving, melodic punk ("Scenery"). It earned the band local and national attention, remaining on Canada's Nation Campus Chart for three consecutive weeks.
After touring extensively across Canada and East Coast U.S.A., The Frenetics are currently preparing for the release of their brand new full length These Mistakes Took Years of Practice. Keep ears and eyes open for The Frenetics!
