|Name: Chad Richardson
Birthdate: March 17 1970 (St. Patricks Day!)
Place: Conception Bay Newfoundland
Chad grew up in a musical home in Newfoundland and started his first band - Fish - with four other pals while still in high school. However, it was another band called the Parksharks that motivated him to start singing. Shortly after that Chad moved to Montreal to attend Concordia University and began collecting cash prizes at various Karaoke bars around town. Chad then followed another passion and headed to Paris where he contemplated becoming a chef. He was well on his way to achieving that goal but his love of music was greater. Chad made another move, this time to Toronto in 1993 where he won the Q107 Homegrown Contest and its large cash prize. With that money he was able to release his first album "Two People" in 1994. In 1997 he released his second album "The Legends of Brud." That same year he auditioned for the seminal musical "Rent." He was one of the first leads cast from the open call audition. He got the part of Mark Cohen and was recently nominated for a Dora award for Best Lead Male in a musical.
