Caledonia is a four-piece indie rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia with a
staggering live show and a burgeoning Canadian following. Smelted in a crazy
horse crucible, forged in the coals of post-rock, wrought with the salicious
slag of 70's brit pop, and christened with a stolen bottle of jamacan ska,
their newest recording is set for release this October.
Waiting to Burn was recorded over 8 months, in surges, whenever the band
could convene from the places their avocations took them; from Mexico,
Belize, Uganda and the outports of Newfoundland, from Calgary and the Yukon,
from lectures and insular practice rooms in Halifax and Montreal. The
material was written, arranged and recorded in fierce four-day sessions
through the fall and winter. When it was done, everything was different.
