In the two years since the worldwide release of their debut album The Ocean on Century Media records, Winnipeg based Burnthe8track, comprised of brothers Derek and Jason Kun, and brothers Sam and Ethan Osland, have taken the world by storm. Propelling their turbulent live show through Canada, the U.S., and Europe, they have opened for bands including Sum 41, Propaghandi, Comeback Kid, Ignite, The Misfits, and The Ataris. They have played major festivals including the Vans Warped tour, and made appearances at industry showcases including CMJ, JunoFest, and NXNE. The band has had two videos in rotation on MuchMusic, MuchLoud, MTV2, MTV Europe, and VIVA Europe. Their songs have also appeared on the soundtracks to ESPNís NHL 2K5 and MTVís Cribs.
In April 2007 Burnthe8track will return to Europe with Ignite and Death by Stereo playing Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and a much sought after show at the legendary Groezrock Festival in Belgium.
This list of accomplishments would never have been possible had Burnthe8track not been completely determined to promote their unique brand of punk-prone rock without abandon and without fear.
